The South-West region is an import wine-producing region which covers 500 km on 12 countries (départements) between Aveyron and Basque country, bounded in the south by the Pyrenees and in the north by the Massif Central. The region produces AOC wines, high-quality wines and also local and table wine.The South-West wines count not less than sixty grapes varieties, both mandatory and adviced (e.g. for red wines: Malbec, Merlot, Tannat… and for white wines: gros Manseng, petit Manseng, sauvignon blanc)
